About
Infonetica Ethics Review Manager (Ethics RM) will replace the University’s current ethics management system (modules in InfoEd).
Ethics RM utilises modern technology and has been selected as it will be able to meet the University’s current and future ethics management requirements and researcher needs.
Ethics RM is used by some Australian universities and Health Boards.
Ethics RM has been implemented in phases:
- Phase 1 is now 'live' and incorporates:
- Use of Ethics RM for Auckland Health Research Ethics Committee (AHREC) ethics applications
- Use of Ethics RM for Auckland Health Research Ethics Committee (AHREC) ethics applications
- Phase 2 is now complete and incorporates:
- implementation of Ethics RM for biological safety ethics applications – this is now ‘live’ for all Biological Safety applications.
- implementation of Ethics RM for animal ethics applications – this is now ‘live’ for all new Animal Ethics applications. Amendment requests to InfoEd initiated applications and applications submitted in InfoEd but not approved at Ethics RM ‘go-live’ (i.e. conditionally approved, pending re-submission and applications requiring more information) will continue to be processed in InfoEd for up to 3 months post ‘go-live’ of Ethics RM or Animal Ethics.
- implementation of Ethics RM for University of Auckland Human Participants Ethics Committee (UAHPEC) - this is now ‘live’ for all new UAHPEC applications. Amendment requests to InfoEd initiated applications and applications submitted in InfoEd but not approved at Ethics RM ‘go-live’ (i.e. conditionally approved, pending re-submission and applications requiring more information) will continue to be processed in InfoEd for up to 3 months post ‘go-live’ of Ethics RM for UAHPEC.
